(english version, please scroll down)

For this special rendez-vous, Byron Westbrook will discuss his work Field of View, Played By Ear in the current exhibition and present a sound performance in the gallery that addresses parallel questions and issues : In what ways does the microphone share qualities with the camera lens ? Can it be approached as an instrument ? What if body movement in the process of recording sound is approached as a performative action ? How does the representation of landscape vs object create a dynamic around perception of time and place ?
